The Safe Sisters Circle is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing free services exclusively to Black women and youth survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking, primarily serving residents of Washington, D.C.'s Wards 7 and 8. Services include legal advocacy and full representation for protective orders, custody, immigration, and criminal matters; mental health counseling with trauma-informed, culturally specific therapists; holistic services including wellness support and healing-centered programming; and training and technical assistance for organizations serving Black survivors. The organization takes a survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally specific approach recognizing the unique barriers Black women face in accessing safety and justice. All services are free of charge. The Safe Sisters Circle holds a Candid Silver Seal of Transparency and is a Fair Chance employer.
