The DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence (DCCADV) is the federally-recognized coalition of domestic violence programs, organizations, and individuals in Washington D.C., dedicated to ensuring the elimination of domestic violence in the District. Through its 18 member organizations, DCCADV supports thousands of adult and child survivors annually with emergency shelter, legal advocacy, counseling, case management, and housing assistance. The coalition applies an intersectional framework addressing social, economic, cultural, political, and legal factors affecting survivors — with explicit attention to communities impacted by poverty, racism, and discrimination. DCCADV also provides training and technical assistance to frontline professionals, leads citywide policy reform efforts, and prioritizes access to safe housing, economic support, and trauma-informed care for the most impacted communities.
