## Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL) ## Call 1-800-715-4225 gcal-crisis-has-no-schedule ## Veterans Crisis Line NAMI DeKalb is the DeKalb County affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), serving the greater Atlanta area including Decatur, Georgia. Their crisis resource page consolidates critical emergency contacts including the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988), the Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL) at 1-800-715-4225, the National Domestic Violence Hotline (800-799-7233), the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800-656-4673), the Veterans Crisis Line (988, press 1), TrevorLifeline for LGBTQ youth (866-488-7386), Trans Lifeline (877-565-8860), and the NAMI HelpLine (1-800-950-6264, Monday–Friday 10am–10pm ET). Additional resources cover alcohol, substance abuse, and child abuse hotlines. Beyond crisis resources, NAMI DeKalb offers free support groups, mental health education programs including NAMI Family-to-Family, Peer-to-Peer, and NAMI Basics, as well as community presentations and advocacy. Support groups meet weekly via Zoom and in-person hybrid formats.
