Maryland Legal Aid provides free civil legal services to individuals whose household income falls below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines, with 12 office locations statewide. Services span eviction prevention and housing disputes, family law including custody, divorce, and domestic violence, criminal record expungement, unpaid wage claims, bankruptcy and debt collection, SSI/SSDI and unemployment appeals, and healthcare and elder law matters. Clients can apply online, by phone Monday–Friday 9am–2:30pm, at a free legal clinic, or by visiting a local office. Spanish-language services are available. Maryland Legal Aid does not charge fees for any of its services.
