The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) serves Georgians with permanent disabilities who are seeking employment or need support to maintain their current job. Services are free and individualized, developed through a personal plan with a VR counselor. Available services include vocational counseling and career assessment, job skills training, college and trade school assistance, assistive technology, supported employment, independent living services, and work incentives planning. Specialized programs include Transition Services for students moving from school to work, Blind and Low Vision Field Services for employment and independent living, services for individuals who are Deaf, Deaf-Blind, or Hard of Hearing, Social Security disability adjudication, and the Business Enterprise Program for legally blind individuals seeking to operate food service businesses. Roosevelt Warm Springs and Cave Spring Center provide residential rehabilitation and training programs.
