Washington County CareerForce provides employment assistance for job seekers and employers in Washington County, Minnesota. Services include career planning, job search assistance, resume review, interview preparation, access to job listings, workshops, career fairs, labor market information, computer and internet access, and referrals to education and training resources. Eligibility-based services are also available for dislocated workers, low-income families, young adults, and individuals participating in income-based employment programs. Young adult services for ages 14–24 may include career planning, job search help, tuition assistance, post-high school training support, and paid work experience. The Women’s Economic Security Act (WESA) program provides funding for short-term training for Minnesota women seeking non-traditional careers that lead to high-demand, high-wage employment. Eligible WESA participants must be Minnesota female residents who are age 50 or older, a person of color, or low income.
