Sista Afya Community Care is a Chicago-based mental wellness organization created to address mental health inequity affecting Black women. The organization centers community, affordability, and culturally aligned care while supporting Black women through individual therapy, mental wellness groups and classes, one-on-one emotional support, peer support, and community-based mental health programming. Sista Afya’s Heal TogetHER model provides accessible peer support for Black women in Chicago and Cook County, and its broader programs focus on helping Black women access care, reduce isolation, and sustain mental wellness.
